silver age batman comic list
What a collection of old batman comics should I expect?
I would like to start reading the golden age and post-Silver Age comics, but I do not know what series I should get. Should I Chronicles Batman, Batman The Greatest Stories Ever Told, Showcase Presents Batman, or a collection, I have not listed?
The chronicles are an affordable, accessible way to start early. However, editing The most recent (five, I believe) is more along the lines of the silver age stuff. The greatest stories ever told is revised according each impression, it seems, though today it contains many more recent histories. If you can find one of the original prints of this book I would say it would be a good mix of what you are looking for.
